Have you ever been asked to embed something in a Joomla! article? Something from slideshare, maybe a Youtube video or a flipbook on Issuu? Was your first reflex to search the JED for a plug-in that did just that? You might end up installing multiple plug-ins that way. Sourcerer makes most of these plug-ins obsolete.

While everyone was very excited when Joomla! 1.7 launched, not everyone shared the "everything is great!" enthousiasm. Me being one of them. While I saw the value of 1.7 in most parts, there were parts of the CMS that just annoyed me. One of the things that annoyed me, is the article editor screen. There are so many options and extra's there that could easily confuse the end user. Or me! 

When I expressed how I felt about the editor screen, a twitter bird told me that I could easily fix the problem I was having with Joomla! 1.7 - and many other problems.

A few days ago, I was confronted with what seemed to be a long, boring and tedious task.  I was kindly asked to make a change to the OpenTranslators documentation.  Including all copies of the original documentation. 

Instead, I decided to try an extension I had just learned about:  DB Replacer.  I gave the extension by NoNumber a shot, and it was the answer to my problems:  in seconds, I had switched the terms.
